Lately I have been flying a ship that I have not given much respect to, the cyclone. Honestly, I don't think many other pilots do as well. A couple of weeks back I watched a old video by Endless Subversion, a very good Genos pilot. In the video he fly's the cyclone a lot, with some success. Being a cheap ship, that I have the skills to pilot decently, I decided to give it a shot.
I checked out a few fittings on SHC and a few of his loss mails, threw a fitting together I am currently happy with.

You may ask, "Why the faction shield booster?" Well, it helps with cap usage ALOT and it also has a faster cycle time, plus they are fairly cheap. There are tons for sale in jita for about 10-12m, so no big loss. My missile skills are ok, but I changed fitting to all lvl 5, with t2 guns and it went up 10 dps =/. Missiles suck!
Test Time
My first test was merely a tank test, there was a carebear corp in my mission hub can baiting with a couple of cruisers and a bs, so I took there can and let them pound on me. It did well until I ran out of cap boosters, which was a pretty good while, I could have killed there 2 cruisers in that time and gotten away.
A couple of days later we organize a little low sec roam consisting of me in my cyclone, Glokta in a myrm, and PB in a vexor. After spending a while in gallente low sec finding nothing I recommend heading over to the isho area to see if the TBR guys are around. They usually provide some good fights. On the way we find a blinky hurricane hugging a station, so we engage and he docks(not surprised). We go about our merry way, while me and PB jump ahead, glokta is sitting on the other side of the gate waiting for our cov ops scout, that blinky hurricane has followed him to the gate. He immediately engages and pushes him through to us, he jumps and I move in to point, cane primary's me and starts neuting me(ohshit), I start taking damage and lose my scram due to being capped out, I am popping cap boosters as fast as I can, and since he was outta range I decided to pop some drugs because he was neuting and hurting.
My vexor co-pilot was plated and not catching him(damn shield nano canes =P) and our myrm was just jumping in, I finally recharged my cap and started chasing, but unfortunately he decided to run. We docked in a neighboring station to repair and refill on cap boosters, when I hear our scout on comms report that he is back with a friend in a non blinky hurricane. Yummy..
We undock and send our myrm to the gate to see if they will engage, and finally, they were looking for a fight, they jumped right in and engaged Glokta. We jumped in and warped to him, primary was called as the same guy as before, but he was not trying to get range, and his shields were melting? Wait. He has reshipped, they are both in plated/trimarked canes. Damn, wait, Oh these fuckers are primary me, and neuting me. YOU GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKERS! And the next thing I remember is a lot of armor damage, a lot of gun damage, and them bitching in local. I was shocked I survived the fight to be honest.
They apparently had reshipped to kill me, 2 neuting armor tanked canes are tough beasts, they deal out serious dps and are hard to break. But I think my good buddy Glokta fitted some ECM drones that got a jam or 2 off that was a life saver.
Conclusions
Man this ship is hard to fly! It takes ALOT of micromanaging! The shield booster, point, MWD, cap booster, if you are overheating. You also have to watch your cap and keep range. But it is fun and not real expensive, the hull was 14m, the shield booster was 11m, and I had the modules. If I had to guess it is around the 50m mark, not too bad for a fun and challenging battlecruiser.
I have been doing alot of carebearing as of late to repair my wallet, so its fun practice! And don't under estimate this ship, it tanks well and deals a decent amount of DPS, I am getting around 600dps. Fun stuff!

EVE= Skill Training Online?
EVE
With every new patch, CCP releases new content that is usually worthless or nerf's a fun part of the game. There are SO many broken game mechanics that need serious attention, lag issues, and plain pve content. Yet they choose to add planetary interaction or new sov mechanics. When people want fixes for FW, fixes for RR aggression in both High/Low Sec, LAG, among MANY other things.
I saw a good future for this game when Apocrypha hit, it brought T3 ships, wormholes, small-medium rigs, training queue, and other minor additions. All EXCELLENT additions to the game.
Dominion was kinda bleh with sov. changes and the added lag.
Tryagains was a total disaster, they broke contacts to all hell, lag is even worse, PI is a waist of time, the calendar is OK, 1 new ship model? seriously?
During all of these patches they have nerfed a lot of ships/items/things(d-scanner, deep safes), and boosted most notably faction ships and projectile weapons(was needed).
So I ask, what is CCP doing for the veteran players? Not what we are asking for, we want the game fixed, they want silly new features for marketing.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, this game is a time sink. And not a particularly fun one at that!
You can spend hours looking for a fight in this game and find nothing, something, crap, or rarely, fun. I usually log on and look at the clock, do some roaming, look at the clock to see I just spent 2 hours and have done absolutely nothing. No more..
So I think since I just bought a gtc, I will play skill training online. I chose not to renew my alt's account when the last patch hit and shit was so broken, so when fosters account runs dry I will not add time to it. I see ALOT of people doing the same on SHC, because they are hoping the game gets fixed one day, and they have the isk to keep buying time cards. I don't have the isk to keep buying them, but I will keep the account and toon incase they do fix the game.

Retiring A Ship...
I don't know if anyone has actually done that in eve? It might sound kinda silly? BUT I have had the SAME vagabond, yes the exact same vaga since I have been able to fly them, in fact it still has large rigs on it. Well just the other day I was telling some of my corp mates about that, and some were shocked that a PVP ship has lasted that long since the patch. They told me to store it, I decided it deserved to be retired!
But not only has this ship lasted that long, it is has accumulated 100 kills! Yes 100 kills with the same ship(Number 101, was the new vaga =P)! I think that is a pretty good service record for a PVP ship so I decided to retire her in Jita 4-4.
We have been in many close calls, good fights and long roams. Its final kill was grumpy Russian raven war target that we caught on a gate. So from this day forward, this ship shall not be used in any further combat actions and shall only be removed from station to be cleaned, space mites killed, WD-40 applied, and excess rust removed.
In rust we trust.

Killrights
Long Story short!
In the past week I have gotten my sec status up, enough to travel anywhere in high security space! Before this I was a pirate, shooting anything I could and when possible, podding. The results of these actions has given a lot people kill rights on myself, while some have expired, a few still have a couple of weeks left.
You think I'm a moron?
First thing I did was set everyone who had kill rights on me red and added them to my address book. Dur! So I would know who and if they are online. No really much of a issue so far, I have learned to watch local like I was in 0.0 or low sec.
Yesterday while sitting semi-afk in station, doing some catchup on work, I get a convo.
From a person who has kill rights on me of all people. I will just post the chat logs and let you read them.

I undocked in my vaga, to see him sitting on the undock in a Thorax. He scrammed me the instant he could lock me, and being scrammed in a vaga usually means death, thus I docked right back up. I was switching out to get my ruppy to fight him since he has aggro on me, when my alt noticed him undocking in a myrmidon. I quickly changed out to a hurricane and undocked. He immediately engaged, and so did I. We had a decent fight going, when he hit about 50% armor, he deagressed and docked in structure. AHHHHH
So after my aggression timer was up, I docked and repaired my burnt modules, and waited to see if he would undock again. He did not and I logged.
Honestly I think most people don't realize they have kill rights on someone, but apparently this dude did and wants revenge.
I invite him to try again, with less noob luring attempts next time I would imagine.

My EVE Wishlist..
I have noticed a lot of people have there eve wish list, a list of changes they would like to the overall game itself.
I personally have my own.
-Boost low sec rewards! Make it more profitable to be in low sec than high sec, I mean really, it should be a no brainier and pretty easy for the devs. You are a moron if you move to low sec to make more isk!
-GCC Timers. I waist 15min after every engagement because of this shit. For what? So the damn sentry's can shoot me, I'm already blinky. Its not like the fight is worth the 15min timer nowadays, the way this game is now, you get blobbed or blob, thus the engagement last about 1 min tops!
Turn this shit off for players with a -5 sec status in low sec please.
-Self destruct=No Insurance! Easy fix, too many dumb ass pilots self destruct there ship when they are getting beat by a inferior force, because they won't have any evidence of there fail. They know by SD, they get insurance and the attackers get nothing, no loot and no killmail. Spend 15mins killing a carrier, then he decides to Self Destruct, more time wasting in EVE due to poor game mechanics.
-Fix Minmatar recons! The web nerf sucked ass IMHO. But you also nerfed a 150m+ T2 ship. Give the recons a web strength bonus please.
-TRASH FW! FW was possibly the worst idea in eve history. None of these faggots even give a shit about FW plex's, missions, or WT's. They blob/bait pirates and run from the other faction. If they are not doing that, they are farming the missions for the ships & standings, and never fight the other faction.
-Session timers are gay! I totally understand aggro timers, I have no beef with them. But what pisses me off is when I dock in station, wait 30 seconds to switch ships, switch to my new ship, wait 30 more seconds, then undock. I don't ever expect this to be changed, but its another stupid game mechanic wasting time.
That is all I can think of now and if you don't like my list, then fuck off.
Thank You!
